On January 14, the Humo Arena Ice Complex hosted another charity event for members of the disabled mutual social aid society of Tashkent "Mehribonlik". The aim of the event was to provide financial assistance to people with disabilities, and to families in need of social support and protection. Foodstuffs have been handed over to people under the custody of the Disabled Mutual Social Aid Society as part of the campaign.
Due to the strengthening of COVID-19 pandemic related quarantine (lockdown) measures, the management and only some members of the branches of "Mehribonlik" society in Yakkasaray, Chilanzar, Yunusabay, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Sergeli and Mirabad districts, as well as representatives of the society of the blind in Yakkasaray district were invited to the event. These organizations are considered as non-governmental non-profit and bring together people with disabilities, low-income families and children with disabilities.
Zulfiya Yakubova, head of the Yakkasaray branch of the disabled mutual social aid society “Mekhribonlik “, emphasized the importance and social significance of such charity events.
