Chemical complex construction: construction is in progress

Construction of the chemical complex for mineral fertilizers production, which is carried out by the Enter Engineering in the territory of the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region, is in the active phase. 
The Customer of the Project is the JSC "Samarqandkimyo", detailed designing is carried out by the specialists of the UzLITI Engineering, and the General Contractor is the Enter Engineering Company. Total construction area is 47 hectares. 

As of to date, design and general construction works (excavation and concrete) are completed to the fullest extent, various process equipment and metal structures are received and installed. More than 700 specialists and 110 units of construction and special-purpose machinery are engaged in the project.

The Chemical Production Enterprise will be the main part of the vertically-integrated complex for mineral fertilizers production: from raw materials extraction at the site "Southern Jeroy" of the Jeroy-Syr-Darya deposit in the Tamdyn district of Navoi region, and processing thereof at the Navoi processing plant - to final products output. All facilities of the complex will be interconnected with the separate access railroads for raw materials and finished products transportation. Upon construction completion, it is planned to produce sulphuric acid (800 thousand tons/year), phosphoric acid (280 thousand tons/year), NPK (540 thousand tons/year), and granulated monoammonium phosphate (MAP) (370 thousand tons/year). Thus, the state-of-the-art environmental protection technologies, in compliance with international environmental standards, will be introduced in the production processes.  

Since the construction start, some facilities of the old enterprise have been demolished, instead of which 4 new warehouses for ground phosphate storage, thermal power plant, sulphuric acid (new plant) and phosphoric acid, mineral fertilizers production workshops, as well as ammonia and finished products storage warehouses, and the finished products warehouse and packing workshop have been built.

Project implementation shall provide an opportunity to establish production of highly sought products and to meet the growing demand of domestic agricultural producers for mineral fertilizers.
