Compliance with safety regulations when working with electricity is a must for personnel on a construction site. Each specialist should not only know the rules, but also have the skills to administer first aid in case of electric shock.

It was this topic that was devoted to the next training, organized by the Health Care Office specialists at the site of the Samarkand tourist center “The Great Silk Road”. The purpose of such events is to equip each employee of Enter Engineering with the required theoretical knowledge and practical skills in administering first aid.

—It is important that every employee of the Company can provide qualified care in case of an emergency,” said medical assistant Zavkiddin Khalilov. — During the training, we train the personnel how to act correctly and what measures to take to protect the injured person health. We explain that, first of all, it is necessary to immediately stop the electric current effect on a person, what measures to take to restore vital functions.

For the best acquisition of the theoretical material, the Office specialists use illustrative material, which clearly shows the safety precautions, when handling electrical equipment, and preventive actions.

— Situations often occur when a person, touching a bare electrical wiring or using a bad tool, receives an electric shock, - continued Z. Khalilov. - In an easily-accessible form, they explained the training participants how to quickly and safely de-energize the accident site, isolate the injured person and provide necessary assistance to him.

The participants learned the Behavioral Based Safety, saw a demonstration on how to properly use special equipment and improvised items — do not touch body bare areas, do not use damp cloth and shoes. They were also advised that after the complete de-electrization of the injured person has occurred, it is necessary to establish the degree of injury and, based on it, provide assistance: to ease breathing (unfasten the belt, collar, loosen tight clothes, provide fresh air). If after these actions there are no signs of life in the injured person, artificial respiration and closed chest cardiac resuscitation shall be immediately done. At the same time, the person shall be warmed with warm clothes, a blanket or a heating pad. These actions shall be carried out before the ambulance doctors arrive.

During the training, a training session was also held to develop practical skills, also medical specialists answered questions of interest to the participants.
