Enter Engineering pays special attention to occupational health and safety on projects underway with the purpose of ensuring health of all employees.

The Company's main objective in this area is to prevent and avoid occupational accidents and to identify and apply best management practices and reduce existing risks.

In this regard, all necessary measures are taken to create favorable and safe conditions for employees to perform their daily functional duties in accordance with both the requirements of Uzbek legislation and international standards in the field of occupational health and safety.

During construction of Uzbekistan GTL (Gas to Liquid) plant, Enter Engineering management has set mission of making a model project in terms of providing safe working conditions at the construction site and base camp, as well as implementing measures to ensure health and safety of all employees.

The project HSE department has effectively implemented "before and after" approach. Thus, a specialist, having spotted a risky action of an employee or unsafe conditions at the site, shall document the violation through a photo or video, then share it with colleagues through a special shared channel and describe the non-compliance in detail. Afterwards, he/she shall follow up on the rectification of the hazard and post a photo with the result of the work done. The risk shall immediately be rectified or mitigated with no time loss on various documents, sensitization of the employee and sharing of experience with colleagues shall be exercised for further study and avoidance of similar incidents recurrence at other sites. In addition, trainings shall be provided on different types of work, the method of risks identification and development of measures to address them.

This approach, approved by company and project management, shall change workers' attitude towards safety in general, on-the-job training shall be held, and consequently the number of injuries and adverse incidents shall be reduced. The result shall undoubtedly be the achievement of a safe 22 million man-hours without LTI (Lost Time Incident). Internationally, this figure is a tremendous achievement and demonstrates that risk is effectively controlled at the project, and HSE project specialists' contribution into it is undisputable.

Every employee shall be responsible for rigorous compliance with all occupational health and safety standards and requirements at the site, as it affects not only the safety of the employees, but also the smooth running of production operations. Even minor problem arising on site can lead to very serious and irreversible consequences. Therefore, the best international standards in the field of occupational health, safety and the environment are implemented at the UzGTL project.

At an early construction stage, HSE Department of UzGTL project consisted of 45 highly qualified and experienced professionals, who have long worked to create and maintain safe working environment at the project. They perform daily monitoring of compliance with all occupational health and safety requirements on a shift basis and regularly check all assigned sectors in line with the department's organizational chart. The main goal of the employees is to identify unsafe practices and working conditions in situ, prevent their occurrence and minimize risks as much as possible, and train employees to identify risks associated with their work.

On behalf of Enter Engineering, we express our gratitude to Health, Safety and Environment Department of UzGTL project for their professionalism, work to save human lives and the passion they have towards their work. We wish all the professionals great success, career promotion and unquenchable energy in ensuring safe working environment at all our facilities.
