From June 23 to 25, a training workshop was held in Samarkand, organized by the trade union organization of Enter Engineering Group in cooperation with the Republican Trade Union Council of Energy, Oil and Gas and Geology of Uzbekistan. Around thirty company employees, working as occupational safety representatives and chairpersons of shop-floor union organizations attended the course.
Leading experts in trade union activities, in particular Nodira Karimova, Head of the Occupational Safety Department of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Sobirjon Egamberdiev, Saidnosir Saidmakhmudov and Akmal Begmatov, Heads of the International Affairs, Occupational Safety and Legal Departments of the Trade Union of Energy, Oil and Gas and Geology of Uzbekistan, attended the seminar. Sherzod Khojaev, Head of the HSE Department (Enter Engineering), and Kasim Tukhtakhunov, Head of the Department of Nuclear Power and Nuclear Technologies at Uzatom JSC, also gave lectures.
There were interesting lectures and slides on current topics in occupational safety and trade union activities were presented: "Occupational health and safety in trade union activities, functions and benefits of elected occupational safety representatives", "Safety culture and organization of public representatives activities in companies", "Planning and running a trade union organization", "Activities of standing committees in trade union organizations", "Registration of new employees, checking knowledge of employees".
