The trade union committee of Enter Engineering is one of the most active and exemplary structures among the trade union units. In addition to protecting the professional, labor, socio-economic rights of employees, our trade union organization pays great attention to cultural and educational work, promotion of sports and healthy lifestyles. Recently, with the assistance of the committee, a family team led by our colleague Timur Maksumzhanov, Chief Occupational Health and Safety Specialist of the Baysun HSE Department, took part in the republican sports contest and won first place in one of the nominations.
On May 20 and 21 of this year, in the prophylactic sanatorium "Energetik", located in one of the picturesque places of the Kibray district of the Tashkent region, the final competitions of the sports contest among the families of energy, oil, gas and geology workers were held. The sporting event was organized by the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Energy, Oil, Gas and Geology Workers of Uzbekistan and was held under the slogan "Sport is a solid foundation for the family!".
13 teams from different regions of our country reached the final. Among them was the team of Timur Maksumzhanov. The family trio - Timur, his wife Luiza Korotkina and their eight-year-old son Daniel showed good results in six stages of the competition, including running, acrobatics and kicking the ball; relay races "Deft and accurate", "Skillful striker", "Hunters and hares", "Straighten our backs and jump high", "Multidiscipline competition". For the shown dexterity, fortitude, resilience and cohesion, our team deserved to win in the nomination "The most close-knit family".
We asked each member of this sports family to share their experiences.
Louisa Korotkina: “I really liked the organization of the event, its positive atmosphere, and the competition with strong teams. I also met interesting people and spent a great time in beautiful place, away from the bustle and noise of the city. I have been fond of sports since childhood: from the age of 9 to 15 I went in for equestrian sports, and then I became interested in summer biathlon. Now I am mainly busy with children, by the way, we have three of them: sons Daniel and Roman, 8 years old and 3 years old, respectively. And our daughter Victoria just turned a year old. Of course, numerous household chores, everyday hustle and bustle take a lot of time and effort, but I try to keep in good shape.”
Daniel Maksumzhanov: “Everything was just great; I will wait until we go there again and I will train to win!”
And we had a few questions for Timur:
- How did you become a sports family? Is this your first competition?
- Since childhood, I loved sports, was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling, visited the gym. Louisa also went in for sports from her youth, even when she became the mother of three children, she did not give up an active lifestyle, she took individual training. Daniel has been practicing taekwondo for 2 years and took part in 3 competitions of different levels. Raising children takes a lot of time, but at the same time we try to be in shape and find time for evening sports activities - running, jumping rope, gymnastic exercises, etc.
It was our first competition and we had a lot of fun. We had the opportunity to escape from the office routine and take part in family competitions, where everything depended not only on you alone, where the support of loved ones was so important, where you watched how your relatives competed with others and supported them... I think that each participant of this sports festival received a lot of positive emotions and a boost of energy. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the trade union committee of the company for the opportunity and their support. During these two days, I felt like I went on vacation and returned to work fresh, ready to conquer the new summits.
