Uzbekistan is preparing to launch a grandiose investment project – a plant for the production of synthetic liquid fuel Uzbekistan GTL. The project aims to expand the country's capacity for deep processing of natural gas, drastically reduce imports of hydrocarbon raw materials and strengthen the republic's energy independence. Enter Engineering, as a member of the consortium of general contractor companies, performed a complex of construction and installation works on this facility within the framework of the project.

Enter Engineering started the active construction phase of the project in 2017, with more than 13,000 workers mobilized on the construction site at the peak of construction. Most of the construction workers lived in a residential town built by the Company, designed for 8,500 people, with fully equipped infrastructure including sports fields, gyms, canteens, a cinema and shops. At the moment, about 6,000 people are currently involved in the final installation and pre-commissioning works.

A huge amount of work was carried out on the installation and insulation of technological pipelines with pipe diameters from 12 mm to 2,400 mm and welded joints of more than 1,500,000 diameter/inch, as well as painting metal structures and applying fire protection coating. In addition, fireproofing work was carried out. All this plays an important role in this type of facility.

The list of Enter Engineering works also included the erection of large-sized equipment using unique cranes of up to 1,200 tones and the installation of 33 reservoirs with a capacity of between 100 to 30,000 m3. During the construction work, 945 units of the organization's equipment were involved.

Necessary for the complex of technological equipment was manufactured in 126 plants in 21 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, USA, Germany, Italy and China.

The high professionalism of Enter Engineering's tight-knit team, in close cooperation with the project operator Uzbekistan GTL LLC, together with the latest technology, made it possible to successfully complete the largest and most technologically complex synthetic liquid fuel production project with a total value of $3.4 billion. With commissioning, the complex will process 3.6 billion cubic meters of gas annually, from which 1.5 million tons of high-quality synthetic liquid fuel, more than 307 thousand tons of jet kerosene, 724 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 437 thousand tons of naphtha, 53 thousand tons of liquefied gas will be produced.

Uzbekistan GTL will become one of the most advanced plants in the world capable of covering the country's needs for modern and environmentally friendly fuel, as well as providing the market with strategic products made from its own raw materials.
